hey, i think that looks good!
though i wouldn't make the fissure just so straight. maybe add some little zigzag-curves to it? :)
_{(something like this or this. just speaking of the shape itself, not the number of fissures. ^^)}

i'm also not sure if the red outter glow on the planet fits, cuz it looks like something behind the planet caused it and not the fissure itself. meh, hope you understand. but that's just secondary. *_*

nice work none the less, keep it up! :D
